CDR John Allison, USN (Ret.) brings a distinguished career in military aviation and leadership to his role as President and Treasurer of Fixin’ Fences. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin and the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC), John embarked on a remarkable journey in the U.S. Navy. Earning his wings of gold in 1998, his service includes numerous operational deployments in the F/A-18C and F/A-18F and instructor tours in the F/A-18E/F and F-35C, earning accolades such as the 1999 Fleet Replacement Pilot of the Year and 2002 VFA-192 Pilot of the Year.

John’s impressive career also includes a tour with the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels, where he served as the Lead Solo pilot, Opposing Solo pilot, Operations Officer, and Narrator and one year at the Air Command and Staff College where he earned a Masters Degree and Distinguished Graduate honors . After 20 years of dedicated service, amassing over 4,250 flight hours and 584 carrier landings, John retired with numerous awards, including two Meritorious Service Medals and an Individual Air Medal with Combat “V.” Today, in addition to his leadership at Fixin’ Fences, John is a FedEx widebody captain and runs a small agricultural business, attributing any success to the unwavering support of his wife Jennie and their daughter Rylie.
